Privacy

DateGenie plans dates. It doesn’t need an account, and it doesn’t ask for your name, email or location to do that. Here’s what does happen when you use it.

What we collect

• Your planning choices — day, time, budget, vibe, area and anything you type into “Anything else?”. We use them to build your plan.
• The plans themselves — stored so your share link works. Links expire after a year. Anyone with a link can open that plan, so only share it with people you want to see it.
• Basic usage analytics — anonymous events such as “plan generated” or “plan shared”, collected with Vercel Analytics. We never send what you type in your notes to analytics.
• Standard server logs — IP address and request details, kept briefly for security and to limit abuse.

What stays on your device

Saved dates are kept in your browser’s local storage. Clearing your browser data removes them. We don’t use advertising cookies.

Who we share it with

• Anthropic (Claude) — your planning choices and notes, plus candidate venues, are sent to choose between plans and write the descriptions.
• Google Maps Platform — search terms and place lookups are sent to find venues, opening hours, photos and travel times. Google’s use is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
• Open-Meteo — the city and date, to check the forecast.
• Vercel and Upstash — hosting and plan storage.

We don’t sell your data.

Your choices

Don’t put personal details you’d rather keep private into the notes box. If you’d like a shared plan removed, contact us with its link and we’ll delete it.
